U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC)
The U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC) is a non-profit organization composed of leaders from all areas of the building industry, working to advance buildings that are environmentally responsible, profitable, and healthy places to live and work. Driving its mission to transform the built environment is the Council’s LEED® (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) Green Building Rating System™.
LEED for Homes (LEED-H) is a rating system that promotes the design and construction of high-performance green homes. In order to achieve a LEED-H certification, a rater must be hired to verify and test the project. Mark Bloomfield with Sustainably Built is a LEED-H Green Rater, and can help you through the entire process of achieving certification for your home. Sustainably Built is also a member of the Colorado chapter of USGBC.
ENERGY STAR qualified products and practices help save money and reduce greenhouse gas emissions by meeting strict energy efficiency guidelines set by the U.S. EPA and U.S. DOE. The ENERGY STAR label also designates superior energy performance in homes and buildings.
Sustainably Built is a proud partner of ENERGY STAR and provides Energy Star ratings for homes.
