Red Oak Park

The Red Oak Park project is a 59 unit affordable housing project for Boulder Housing Partners. Sustainably Built was involved early in the project, comparing the combination of construction and operating costs to determine the most cost effective construction based on a 30-year study. The result was a staggered stud 8" wall dense-packed with cellulose insulation, and R-50 in the ceilings. The project included solar PV systems on most units. Sustainably Built also assisted Boulder Housing Partners in qualifying for State of Colorado Governor's Energy Office rebate for each unit, and provided data to assist in recalculating the HUD allowable utility bill credit, since most occupants' electric bill would be significantly offset by solar PV systems.
